“Entwine” is a hyperbolic paraboloid roof surface created by a series of straight seg- ments of rope woven through 6’ x 6’ grid of wooden columns and beams. In plan, the pavilion follows the strict logic of the grid, but in section, the undulating roof creates expansive and compressive moments that shape a range of social contexts from group gatherings to solitary activities.
